Over the weekend, Professor Hamza Adam, the Member of Parliament representing Kumbungu Constituency, officially presented a completely refurbished three-unit classroom block and an office complex to the students and staff of Cheshagu Basic School in the Kumbungu District of the Northern Region. The MP initiated significant renovation efforts for the school block upon learning about its deteriorating condition.

He emphasized that education serves as the foundation for all progress, underscoring the significance of parents making substantial investments in their children’s education for the sake of their future improvement. “Education drives other developmental needs; it is indeed the bedrock of every development”.

The Member of Parliament (MP) is determined to tackle the infrastructure challenges facing the education sector in his constituency and has committed wholeheartedly to investing in the educational progress of his constituency, aiming to empower children to evolve into responsible leaders.

“I know we have numerous challenges, but education is top of my agender as the member of parliament and since I have taken responsibility as MP, I have paid serious attention to the educational sector. I have embarked on a number of activities to improve the sector”.

He encourages both the school management and community members to responsibly maintain the newly provided facility.

The District Education Director, Mr. Yahaya Sulemana, expressed appreciation to the MP for prioritizing education in the district, aiming to enhance the quality of education.

Seidu Fuseini, the school’s headmaster, conveyed gratitude to the MP for the generous gesture and appealed to charitable organizations and philanthropists for support with furniture and other educational materials.

Additionally, in a related development, Professor Hamza Adam, the Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, has contributed one hundred bags of cement to aid in constructing a fence wall for Kumbungu Senior High School.

The MP acknowledged the school’s management and teachers for their efforts and commended their initiative to uphold discipline. Ms. Josphine Muryang, the school’s headmistress, who received the items on behalf of the school authority, expressed appreciation to the MP for the thoughtful gesture.
