The Strongmen Association of the Tamale Metropolis, located in the Northern Region, has extended a helping hand to two prominent institutions in preparation for the upcoming Christmas festivities. The beneficiaries of this generous gesture are the Nyohini Children’s Home and the Tamale Central Prisons.
In a heartfelt outreach effort at the Nyohini Children’s Home, the association contributed various essential items, including 30 packs of sachet water, a bag of maize, two bags of rice, 5 boxes of indomie, a gallon of cooking oil, beverage drinks, 46 packs of cooked food, detergents, 10 cartons of Muncheen ginger biscuits, 5 boxes of Happy Delight drink, diapers, a carton of milk, and other necessities.
Meanwhile, at the Tamale Central Prisons, the Strongmen Association presented a substantial donation comprising 1,120 packs of sachet water, 300 packs of cooked food, detergents, tissues, and additional essential items. The association’s benevolent act aims to make a positive impact on the well-being of the residents in these institutions during the festive season.
In an interview with Ghana360news, the Association Chairman, Brian Sotaa, said that the act was a component of their social duty.
“The group is not getting its resources from anywhere. It is just our own contributions. We also realized that we are working in a certain environment, so there is a need to also give something back to society as our social responsibility”, he said.
According to him, the association will carry on with the gesture and extend it to the other institutions in the Northern Region that are not as fortunate.
While praising the group, the leadership of the two institutions expressed their own gratitude to Strongmen for their unwavering love and compassion. They made a request for assistance from charitable groups and people.
