Bayern Munich refers to the fullback By posting a video in support of Palestine on Instagram, Noussair Mazraoui said that he “never meant to cause any irritation.”

“The Bundesliga champions conducted an extensive and clarifying meeting with the 25-year-old Moroccan international this week in response to his post regarding the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Bayern’s Chief Executive, Jan-Christian Dreesen, stated, “Noussair Mazraoui has convincingly reassured us that he firmly opposes terrorism and war as a person who values peace. He never intended to create any discomfort with his social media posts.”

FC Bayern has condemned the attack by the militant group Hamas on Israel, which took place on October 7, resulting in the loss of over 1,400 lives in Israel. Bayern’s Chief Executive, Jan-Christian Dreesen, stated their condemnation of Hamas’ attack. Furthermore, Noussair Mazraoui has expressed his strong condemnation of all forms of terrorism and terrorist organizations.

The Bundesliga champions have announced that Mazraoui will continue to be part of their squad, although he is presently sidelined due to an injury.

In a related incident, German club Mainz took action by suspending Dutch winger Anwar El Ghazi from training and matches in response to a social media post he made regarding the Israel-Gaza conflict. The 28-year-old has since removed the post, which his club found to be “unacceptable.”

Meanwhile, in France, prosecutors are investigating Nice defender Youcef Atal for allegedly posting an anti-Semitic video on social media related to the same conflict.
