The NDC Sagnarigu constituency parliamentary candidate, Atta Issah has said that even though the vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has won the NPP’s presidential primaries, but he tasted defeat.

He said this on radio Tamale’s Bugum Beni today, November 8, when he was speaking exclusively to Halik Musah, on the recent presidential primaries held in the NPP that saw the vice president emerged as victor.

“Let me use this opportunity to congratulate the vice president, Dr. Bawumia on his election as the NPP flagbearer for 2024. He won alright, but i is with a taste of defeat. With all the support the veep had, he failed to get their targeted percentage”, he said.

Atta Issah believed the vice president dropped from the initial 68.15 % he got in the special delegates elections held in August 26, but couldn’t get it in November 4 primaries, hence, it is a reflection of what is happening to the suffering Ghanaians.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia will lose the 2024 elections because of the performance of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia led government.

“Bawumia’s popularity is dwindling in the country’s politics. Even when Kennedy Agyapong who didn’t even have the support of the government, got close to 40%, winning about 50 constituencies. And 2 regions. With the vice beating him with small margins in some regions”, the NDC Sagnarigu PC told the listeners.
