The team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to meet the Finance Committee of Parliament today, Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

The team is in Ghana negotiating a bailout for the country in the face of overbearing economic conditions.

Workers of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) are up in arms over the refusal of a private company to allow them collect 20 percent revenues.

Workers are clad in red and are demanding a rescission of the decision by management.

The Forum for Public Sector Associations and Unions is scheduled to meet representatives of government, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission and other major stakeholders on the heightened demand for a cost of living allowance.

Organised labour has indicated its resolve to lay down tools of this cushion is not provided by government.
