A member of the communications team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Fred Agbenyo has accused the Akufo-Addo government of not appreciating the difficult economic conditions Ghanaians are going through.
In his view, the difficulties facing Ghanaians are as a result of the bad management of the economy by the government.
Speaking on the New Day show with Berla Mundi on TV3, Wednesday August 17, Fred Agbenyo ask the President to apologise to Ghanaians for the economic troubles they are going through.
His comments come after the former Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North, Fuseini Issah indicated that the NPP government was doin better than the previous Mahama administration in terms of the management of the economy prior to the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis.
Mr Fuseini indicated on the same show that the government admits that these are difficult times for the country and the people.
But responding to him, Agbenyo said “These our colleagues in the power they have no shame. You have been in power for six years and you are still blaming the NDC. You have no shame and no regards for the people of this country.”
He added “you have to apologize to Ghanaians for badly managing the economy. It appears the president and government do not know what Ghanaians are going through and I am not surprised because this is a president going round telling everyone that his ministers are doing well.”
