AfriTech Hub, one of the leading youth and women focused skills development hubs in Ghana has partnered a leading security company in Northern Region Modern Security Consult to train females freely.
AfriTech Hub in partnership with Modern security consult ltd is set to present a free three (3) day Biometric system and CCTV camera installing training in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana.
AfriTech hub is a hub geared towards creating an African entrepreneurship ecosystem to solve Africans challenges through Technology and TVET skills development of the youth and women.
Modern security consult Ltd is one the best security companies in Northern Ghana with officers across Ghana. The security company offer a range of products and services including Installation of GPS Trackers, Sales and installations of Biometric Attendance Devices and many more.
Speaking to the news team of InfoTechGhana, Chief Executive Officer of AfriTech Hub, Dr. Arnold Mashud, said “technology is a tool that can empower the youth and female and the security space is a powerful area in Technology world”.
Operating in Ghana as an entrepreneur, “I have had several engagement with youth and women over the years”, Dr. Arnold Mashud noted. He further added that, the youth and women can contribute to the socio-economic development of the nation by reducing poverty and inequality through various initiatives and the security space should not be left out.
Mr. Akwasi Agyemang, the Chief Executive Officer of Modern Security Consult Ltd said “Working in the security space for three(3) years now and with the changes in life , technology is advancing and security is one of the most important thing in human life and the world of technology and our partnership with AfriTech hub is to empower female to take part in the revolution of the world”. He disclosed to InfoTechGhana.
With a survey in the security space almost hundred (100%) percent of the installers are men, and in the Northern Region there is no a single female security installer. “Therefore our partnerships is to create that change so at least if we can get ten (10%) of female in the security space within the region to be female and this effects the national gab space of females left out in the tech security space against the total men installers”, Mr Akwasi Agyemang stressed.
This 3-day training is specifically designed for young females who have the passion and desire to start a tech career or intend to apply technological innovation to their operations, or women-owned tech start-ups. The training is schedule to start on the 19th-21st July 2022 at the premises of the AfriTech Hub in Tamale.The training is supported by the Northern Regional Secretariat of the National Youth Authority (NYA).
